I decided to remaster one of my old school projects as I still really enjoy it! It was modeled and unwrapped in 3DS Max and rendered in Arnold. The lighting was really fun to do as it allowed for a lot of reflections and scattering. The entire scene is run off of a single 2048x2048 tilesheet, the diffuse created in Photoshop and the other maps generated in Substance. Stylistically, I was inspired a lot by Star Wars (I recall listening to many a Star Wars audiobook whilst putting the scene together).
